If U Seek Amy: The Video!

It’s been a long time coming! Circus was a great video but we’ve all been wanting more from Britney, that much I know! I loved If U Seek Amy from the first time I heard it, and I always hoped it would be released as a single but I thought it was a bit too suggestive for radio (apparently I was right). I’m sure despite all the drama surrounding the song (or because of it), Amy will do brilliantly – and the music video to accompany it really is awesome!

The video starts out with a news reporter specifically stating the title: ‘If U Seek Amy’. For those of you who don’t know she was on Fox News protesting the song a few weeks ago, and she pretty fired up about it. Don’t know if she’s very happy now, but it’s pretty damn funny!

The video then cuts to a bedroom where we see the ending of a rather risqué party – guys and girls getting dressed, and some still passed out. Brit pops her head up, looking stunning and fresh – with some major boobage! As everyone gets their shit together, Brit dances around the house – making her way through the passage and the lounge.

She then retires to her bedroom to get dressed in a cute little housewife outfit, complete with Marilyn-inspired locks. She saunters down the stairs, while everyone dances around her, and into the kitchen to get a delicious apple pie. As she walks out the front door she is accompanied by the perfectly-groomed husband as well as a Stepford son and daughter. She greets the paparazzi who are waiting for her and the video ends with her bowing them a kiss.

I think the video shows that no matter how much flak she gets from the world for being too naughty or partying too much or whatever else they think – she’s showing them just how naïve they are in thinking she’s the only one. No matter what people’s appearances are, you never know what they do behind closed doors, or what skeletons are hiding in their closet!
